§ 2-54. Eligibility for police pension fund.

Persons appointed, sworn and commissioned to perform police duties may join if they are at least twenty-one (21), found to be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a policeman, and execute a written application for membership to the fund within three (3) months after receiving their first appointment even if such appointment is probationary.
